A blind professor masterminds the theft of treasure from St. Peter's Basilica in Rome.

Someone gives a video to some journalists: this is the testimony left by three people in their thirties, two men and a woman, of their road trip throughout the French Riviera. The video relates the task they were carrying out during the last week before getting involved in an accident. The three of them share a whole generation’s fate, a generation of expendables.

She always has on an em-erald that is insured for 10 million dollars! Perhaps the unidentified man was inspecting the suite in order to steal the jew-el! The fact that he preferred killing himself to undergoing questioning means that he must have been keeping some terrible secret which could not be be-trayed. Who sent him? Will the people behind him strike again? Where? When? How? A strange old man roams the halls of the "Palace", riding in a wheelchair that is pushed by a nurse who seems too sexy to be a real nurse. The old man turns out to be Bradey, King of the robbers.
