A Confederate commander tries to buy the daughter of a Native American chief and massacres the tribe when his offer is refused. The kidnapped woman escapes and joins a rancher to take revenge on the officers at the fort.

Jim finds and kills three of the murderers and at the same time finds out the name of the fourth, a certain Corbett. For a long time he combs the regions of the South in search of Corbett.
